Water Authority – Cayman is pleased to announce that the final phase of the project to replace the water main along Bodden Town Road will recommence on Monday, 6 February, 2017. These planned works are essential to upgrade the water infrastructure in the area and are expected to take approximately four weeks to complete.
Affected residences and businesses have been connected to a temporary service line to minimize interruptions in service while the pipeline project is underway.
For the first two weeks of the project, the portion of Bodden Town Road between Coe Wood Beach and Manse Road will be closed to the motoring public from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Although the Authority will attempt to make accommodations for local access for residents whose property is within the work area, all other traffic will be diverted around the work area via Anton Bodden Drive during this time. Traffic signs will be posted in the general vicinity and all motorists are asked to drive with caution to ensure their own safety as well as that of the Water Authority staff.
Please note that access to local businesses will still be available from the eastern end of Bodden Town.
The Authority is committed to completing water infrastructure works in a timely fashion with as little negative impact on its customers as possible. The Authority thanks the local businesses and their patrons affected by these planned works for their patience during the final phase of the Bodden Town Pipeline Project.
