The Water Authority wishes to provide an update regarding the recent incident involving unauthorised emails being sent from a Water Authority email address.

We can confirm that the issue has been successfully contained, and corrective actions have been fully implemented. Based on our investigation, the activity appears to have been limited to the use of a Water Authority email address to distribute a phishing email to a targeted recipient list. There is no evidence that any customer data was compromised, and we have identified no ongoing risk related to this incident.

As an added precaution, the Authority is implementing enhanced security measures to further strengthen our systems, improve monitoring capabilities, and reduce the likelihood of similar incidents occurring in the future.

If you receive any suspicious email claiming to be from the Water Authority, please delete it immediately and avoid opening any attachments or links. We thank our customers and the public for their cooperation and vigilance.
