Water Authority – Cayman wishes to advise the motoring public of upcoming wastewater infrastructure works along West Bay Road (in the vicinity of Governor’s Beach).

The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, 20 July 2026 and will take place daily between the hours of 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Additional work may take place outside these hours as needed. The works will take place along West Bay Road, between the Lime Tree Bay Avenue/West Bay Road intersection and just south of The Pinnacle condominiums. The project is expected to take place over two weeks.  To facilitate the works, a portion of the southbound lane of West Bay Road will be diverted to the center turning lane. Traffic control measures will be placed to direct traffic flow. Motorists are strongly encouraged to follow all traffic signs and to drive with caution while in the area.

Additionally, the works will require the closure of a portion of the sidewalk in the work zone. Signage will be in place to divert foot traffic. We encourage pedestrians to be mindful and proceed with caution when walking in the area.
