Water Authority–Cayman wishes to advise the motoring public that it will undertake the second and final stage of planned wastewater infrastructure works along West Bay Road (in the vicinity of Governor’s Beach).

The works are expected to take place within the period from 31 August to 15 September 2026, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM along West Bay Road, between the Lime Tree Bay Avenue/West Bay Road intersection and just south of The Pinnacle condominiums. 

To enable the works, a portion of the southbound lane of West Bay Road will be diverted to the center turning lane. Traffic control measures will be placed to direct traffic flow. Motorists are strongly encouraged to follow all traffic signs and to drive with caution while in the area.

In addition, a portion of the sidewalk in the work zone will be closed to pedestrians. Signage will be in place to divert foot traffic. We encourage pedestrians to be mindful and proceed with caution when walking in the area.

The Water Authority apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for its patience and cooperation as we work to complete these essential wastewater infrastructure improvements.
