The Water Authority – Cayman wishes to inform you about planned infrastructure upgrade work on Ms Frances Street, George Town. The work will begin on Thursday, 28 May and will continue until Friday, 12 June 2026, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The Water Authority will perform excavations along Ms Frances Street. To facilitate the work, Ms Frances Street will be barricaded, and Residents and motorists will be diverted to access Tigris Street and Myles Lane through Martin Drive. We request that the Western access to Ms. Frances Street to be clear of all vehicles for the duration of the project, as heavy equipment will be traversing daily.
In addition, customers on Ms Frances Street and Myles Lane may experience brief, intermittent service interruptions (less than 30 minutes) while the crew connects existing meters to the new pipeline. Water Authority staff will do their best to notify customers in advance of the expected interruption.
Lastly, during the work, customers may observe Water Authority staff working along the property boundary to locate and transfer existing service lines and meters to the upgraded pipeline. If any unexpected changes to the work schedule occur, updates will be provided on the Water Authority website.
The Water Authority appreciates the patience and understanding of its customers and the public as it upgrades its infrastructure and apologies for any inconvenience caused.
We thank you for your cooperation as we continue to work to improve service to all.
