Water Authority-Cayman would like to inform customers in Cayman Brac that a Boil Water Notice is in immediate effect until further notice. This notice applies to all piped water customers and all trucked water customers who received a water delivery today (Saturday, 13 December).

To comply with the notice, customers should boil their water before consuming it, including drinking, cooking, making ice, and brushing their teeth.

Instructions:

1. Boil water vigorously for at least 10 minutes
2. Let the water cool before consuming

This notice has been put into effect due to a failure at the water production plant, and salinity has compromised the water quality. The Water Authority is working to rectify this issue as soon as possible. Over the next 24 hours, customers may experience low pressure as we flush pipelines. The Authority will provide updates via our website www.waterauthority.ky.
