Water Authority – Cayman wishes to advise its valued customers of ongoing infrastructure works along South Side Road West, in Cayman Brac. Work began on Monday 4 October and will be completed next week. This work is necessary to rectify an anomaly with the existing water supply infrastructure in the area and ensure compliance with current Water Authority policy.

Once these works are completed, there are no immediate plans to further extend the water main along South Side West Road. Instead, the Water Authority will resume extending the water supply distribution network along the island's north coast. The pipeline extension project has reached up to the Ashton Reid Drive (Bluff Road) intersection.

"I'm so pleased with the progress that the Water Authority has made with the expansion of the piped water in Cayman Brac," comments the Honourable Juliana O'Connor-Connolly, Minister for District Administration and Lands. "While there will be a pause in the project to allow for the work necessary on South Side Road West, I trust that once works resume on the pipeline expansion, it will be done expeditiously; ensuring even more Cayman Brac residents can have access to the convenience and benefits of piped water."

The Water Authority appreciates the patience and understanding of its customers and the public as it undertakes these works and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
