Water Authority – Cayman is pleased to announce that the installation of a new pipeline along Maclendon Drive will commence on Monday, 13 May 2019. These planned works are essential to upgrade the water infrastructure in the area and are expected to take approximately six (6) weeks to complete.

Pipelaying works will take place from 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. For safety purposes, trenches will be backfilled at the end of each working day.

Although the Authority will endeavor to maintain the two-way flow of traffic along the affected portion of Maclendon Drive, brief delays for the motoring public may still occur. Traffic signs will be posted in the general vicinity of the work area and all motorists are asked to follow the directions given by the flagmen and to drive with caution to ensure their own safety, as well as that of the Water Authority staff.

During the course of these works, the Authority may need to temporarily interrupt the public water supply to your premises. Should this be necessary, the Authority will notify you via hand-delivered letter at least three (3) business days prior to the planned service interruption.

The Authority apologises for any inconvenience these works may cause you.

The Authority is committed to completing water infrastructure works in a timely fashion with as little negative impact on its customers as possible. The Authority thanks the local businesses and their patrons affected by these planned works for their patience and understanding.
